Londoners have been warned to brace themselves for more storms after heavy downpours soaked the city on Tuesday, bringing flash floods and wreaking havoc across the capital.
Forecasters said that although today will start off dry and sunny, there is a risk that heavy, thundery showers will develop throughout the afternoon.
However, there is unlikely to be a repeat of yesterday's flooding, as downpours are not expected to be quite so intense this afternoon.
The warm temperatures that have been around since the weekend are set to continue today, with the temperatures potentially reaching as high as 27C.
The Met Office said there is likely to be some "very warm" sunshine this morning, before cloud builds throughout the day.
However, today could spell the end of the warm weather, with temperatures due to drop off from tomorrow onwards.
A band of high pressure means tomorrow is likely to see temperatures of up to 23C in the capital, but towards the weekend a front is due to move in from the west, bringing cloud and light showers.
A Met Office spokesperson said: "It will be a warm and bright day for many today, with some bright or sunny spells.

"There will also be some showers around, which could be heavy and thundery at times, but they won't be as intense or as widespread compared to Tuesday."
