Londoners woke up this morning to a city smothered in a thick blanket of fog.
Dozens took photographs of the incredible scenes, which drastically cut visibility and led to flight disruption at some airports.
Their snaps, many shot from planes above the capital, showed the whole city cloaked in thick white fog, with taller buildings appearing to reach above the clouds.
At points, views of Tower Bridge from London Bridge, about 500m away, were completely masked.

Forecasters issued weather warnings for drivers to exercise caution on the roads because of the adverse conditions.
The Met Office said areas of fog were "widespread and locally dense" but should dissipate not long after 11am.
It caused minor disruption to flights at airports including Heathrow and Gatwick.
The misty conditions, which follow unseasonably warm weather on Saturday, will continue tomorrow as schools go back after half-term, the forecaster said.
