Man and woman in critical condition after four vehicle crash close to Heathrow Airport

 
Serious collision: a man and a woman are in a critical condition after the crash took place in Sipson Lane, West Drayton

A man and a woman are in a critical condition in hospital following a car crash involving four vehicles, close to Heathrow Airport.

Police were called to the collision which took place in Sipson Road, West Drayton, at 4pm this afternoon.

The man and the woman are believed to have been passengers in a Vauxhall Astra.

The driver of the Astra suffered minor injuries, as well as the drivers of the two other vehicles involved.

Road closures remain in place at the scene, while traffic and bus routes are subject to diversion.

Officers from the Serious Collision Investigations Unit are making enquiries.

There have been no arrests at this stage.
