A man is in hospital after a broad daylight stabbing in Walthamstow earlier today.
Police and paramedics were called at around noon to Coppermill Lane, where they treated a man said to be in his 20s.
He was taken to hospital "as a priority", and London Ambulance Service spokeswoman said.
Officers have closed the road while they investigate and urged members of the public to avoid the area.

David Peat, who lives on the road, said he often heard sirens on the street so hadn't immediately realised something had happened.
The 28-year-old said: "I heard police cars going past but I didn't know they had stopped.
"They're still here and the road is blocked off.
"I spoke to one of the officers and they said there's been a stabbing and the guy's gone to hospital.
"Then they came and knocked on doors."
