Wildlife photographer of the Year is a competition that attracts entries from all over the world of birds, beasts, insects and landscapes. Some of the shots have taken years to perfect, requiring extraordinary patience and foresight on the part of the photographers. The winning pictures, plus many of the runners-up, are on display at the Natural History Museum now - after which it will travel across the country and around the world.
