The new artwork on Westminster Magistrates' Court
Rashid Razaq11 October 2017

The complexities of the justice system are brought to life in a new artwork on the front of Westminster Magistrates’ Court.

Artist and blacksmith Bex Simon references the Marylebone building’s former life as a pub called the Yorkshire Stingo and a swimming baths.

The 40-metre long piece also depicts the River Thames and the 02 and a song by Ben McCusker.

Local schoolchildren and prisoners worked on the project.

The artwork was created by blacksmith Bex Simon

Prisoners from Coldingley prison in Woking, Surrey lent their help - but not at the same time as the schoolchildren.
