Police officers showed off their "twerking" skills in front of cheering crowds at Notting Hill Carnival.

Dozens of revellers formed a circle around them while the three policemen - dressed in police high-vis jackets and uniform - had a dance off, grinding and getting down, before forming a line on the floor and doing a rowing boat action.

They seemed to be relishing the attention as crowds cheered and screamed as they danced.

A video of the policemen on YouTube under the name "Notting Hill Carnival 2013 Police Dance Off", posted by MOOF Bulleh last night already has more than 1,200 views.

The identity of the officers is not known but police officer PC Armstrong posted a link to the video on twitter with the caption "good community relations in my opinion".

A Met spokesman declined to comment but said: "I don't think this is a problem if officers are getting in with the crowd".
