A range of location-specific filters for photos on the image-sharing app Snapchat have become available to users in London.
Geofilters only become available to users when they are in certain areas, such as landmarks or popular tourist attractions.
Initially, the feature was US only, with Snapchat announcing in July that users in New York and Los Angeles would have access to some Geofilters.
But from Wednesday, London-based Snapchatters will able to modify their messages with these filters.
Over 30 locations across the capital have been chosen for the Geofilters, with the London Eye and Tower Bridge just two of the famous spots that have been announced.
The other 28 locations remain a mystery – Snapchat has said it wants its users to figure that out for themselves.
So how do you know if you are in one of the chosen locations? First, make sure that filters are switched on in your Snapchat app settings, and then that location services are turned on in your device’s general settings.
After taking a photo or video, swipe right and if you are in one of the chosen locations, a special filter will appear.
There are rumours that this latest feature could be part of Snapchat’s venture to create greater revenue for the app, by allowing certain brands to implement their own Geofilters.
