Teenager fighting for life after accident on busy Hendon road

A teenager was fighting for his life today after being hit by a car at a busy junction in rush hour.

The pedestrian, 17, was struck by a Nissan Micra on the A1 near Henlys Corner in Hendon at about 7.45am.

He is in a critical condition with head, leg and pelvic injuries. The driver was arrested.
