Third arrest in Walthamstow murder case as teenager turns himself in

A third man has been arrested on suspicion of murder following the death of a man in Walthamstow.

Lynton Wilson was stabbed in Brandon Road, E17, on the evening of Wednesday February 22 with the 35-year-old dying from his injuries weeks later on Monday March 6.

A 19-year-old man attended a north London police station on Thursday, June 22, where he was arrested on suspicion of murder. He remains in custody.

Two other men have already been charged as part of the investigation and are remanded in custody ahead of a trial.

A post-mortem examination carried out on Thursday March 9 confirmed Lynton died as a result of stab wounds to his chest and stomach.

Detectives from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command are leading the investigation and their enquiries are ongoing.
