Toddler seriously injured after being hit by car in Lambeth

A toddler was hit by a car in south London this evening.

The three-year-old boy suffered serious but not life-threatening injuries in the collision, Scotland Yard said.

Police were called to South Lambeth Road near Vauxhall station at 6.20pm.

The road is closed between Vauxhall Cross and Lansdowne Way, Transport for London said.

Officers remain at the scene, according to reports.

Traffic, including bus routes 2 and 88, is being diverted via Wandsworth Road.
