A top barrister has starred in a grime music video after defending a rapper at the Old Bailey.

Lawyer James Scobie QC represented grime star Trapstar Toxic, aka Tokyi Ajibola, during his three-week trial over an alleged gang-related “tit-for-tat” shooting.

Mr Ajibola was cleared in October of two counts of attempted murder and possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life.

On December 3, Trapstar Toxic, 25, released a YouTube video with a song called “Out Ere” which has clocked up more than 300,000 views in 10 days.

The video shows the grime star wearing a thick gold chain as he walks past the historic Central Criminal Court in the City before celebrating winning his freedom with a bottle of champagne.

He is seen grinning at the main doors of the courtroom as he shakes hands with Mr Scobie who smiles and walks away.

At the end of the video, Trapstar Toxic also gives a "shout out" to his lawyers.
