Turnpike Lane: Man killed in high street collision with ‘cement lorry’

A pedestrian has been killed after being struck by a lorry at a crossing in Turnpike Lane, north London.

Images show a cement lorry at the scene where the victim was struck at 10.26am on Tuesday.

Paramedics fought to save the man’s life for nearly 20 minutes before he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said enquiries are underway to trace next of kin.

The driver of the lorry stopped at the scene and has not been arrested.

Green Lanes is partly closed by Turnpike Lane station with cordons remaining in place.
