Uber users can now add multiple stops to their journeys.

The taxi-hailing firm introduced the feature, which will allow passengers to pick up or drop off friends along the way, as it battled to save its licence in London.

To use the tool, users should click on the "Where to?" button and then the "+" sign next to it.

After that, addresses can be added in order to direct the driver to multiple stops.

The stops are then made in the order they were added.

The cost of the fare can still be split between friends, according to the firm.

Uber said: “This new feature means that users no longer have to update the destination while on a trip and ensures more transparency on the fare for both riders and drivers,” said Uber.

“So whether you’re picking up friends en route or heading home from a night out, it’s easier than ever to ride together.”
