Wembley Park residents will enjoy the taste of fame, featuring in 8ft adverts for a new project “celebrating the ordinary people” of London.

The project is inspired by the US project ‘Humans of New York’ and aims to document the stories of people from Wembley Park.

The stars of the billboards range from street vendors to artists, entrepreneurs and business managers.

The project came about when its creator, photographer Gary William Smith, tweeted a portrait of a woman waiting for the tube which was then spotted by bosses at Wembley Park.

James Saunders, Chief operating officer at Wembley Park said: “We were looking for a project that not only celebrates the people who make Wembley Park what it is, but also demonstrates the creativity that is alive in the area."

‘People of Wembley Park’ is available to view online and next to Wembley Stadium station.
