Feltham fire: Woman dies after early-morning fire in two-storey house

A woman has died after a fire broke out at a house in Feltham.

Around 25 firefighters rushed to the scene after a blaze ripped through the ground floor of the property on The Drive around 7.45am on Friday, July 7.

A woman was rescued from the semi-detached two-storey house.

Despite the best efforts of medical professionals, she was pronounced dead a short time later.

The blaze was under control by 8.31am after four fire engines from Feltham, Heston and Twickenham fire stations attended the scene.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
