A woman called police to report her vehicle stolen, only to discover it later - parked in a different street.

The strange incident was revealed by officers in the outer east London borough of Havering, who are live tweeting calls made to their control room by members of the public.

Police later confirmed the report had been made by a woman from Hornchurch, but could provide no other information.

Other tweets posted by the force have references reports including a suspected shed burglary in Romford, phone fraud, and a hit and run collision.
