To celebrate this delicious dish, every year, the world comes together to celebrate World Pasta Day

In line with this, on October 25, Pasta Evangelists will be transforming a handful of London Tube stations into pasta havens and giving out free pasta to commuters.

Pasta Evangelists are giving a number of underground stations a carb-filled rebrand.

It will see Farringdon transformed into Farfallingdon, Clapham Junction become Claphamellini, and Fulham Broadway change to Fusilli for the day.

Plus, Tooting will rebrand as Tootelloni and Camden Town will become Camdenlloni Town.

How to get free pasta on World Pasta Day

On October 25, between 11.30 am and 1.30 pm, Pasta Evangelists will be giving out 1,000 portions of their classic pasta dishes, ranging from their beloved Carbonara and succulent Beef Shin Ragu to their spicy Arrabbiata, and indulgent Wild Mushroom pasta.

All commuters have to do is head to one of the rebranded Tube stations between the allocated hours and hope to be among the lucky ones who get there first.

When did World Pasta Day become a special occasion?

World Pasta Day was created when experts from all over the world came together for the World Pasta Congress in October 1995.

They decided to set a date to promote the consumption of pasta, and highlight the culinary and cultural importance of the dish.
