One of London's leading tourist attraction shops is to step up security after a pair of pranksters sneaked inside as it closed before running amok inside all night.

The duo hid in a photo booth inside M&M's World on Leicester Square to evade security as the shop was being locked up.

They larked about inside all night before finally handing themselves over to security at 6am.

They posted a 17-minute video of their escapade on YouTube, which has already been viewed over 600,000 times.

The footage, posted on the channel of Uosof Ahmadi, 21, sees him and his female companion, Ebru Caglar, a 23-year-old beauty blogger, wander around inside the shop, pose for photographs, slide down banisters and even enjoy a picnic.

He admits to being tempted by the chocolate on offer but the pair resist the temptation to take any, saying they "can't be stealing".

He has posted clips of several other pranks in which he sneaks into a cinema, a bus, and a branch of McDonald's.

He adds: "If you're from M&M just know we're not going to touch nothing, we're not going to steal anything, this place is just too amazing not to come.

"Whoever owns M&Ms, on the bright side we've kind of given you a second chance because we're not thieves so if we managed to stay here overnight you guys need to fix up because imagine if someone robbed this place.

"We've kind of helped out."

The duo eventually give themselves up to security at about 6am.

A Mars spokesman said: “For many people, spending a night in a chocolate shop is a dream come true, but on this occasion we acknowledge it was a security breach.

"We take the security in all of our M&M’S World stores very seriously and are reviewing all our current practices to ensure an incident like this does not happen again.”

A spokesman for the Metropolitan Police said the incident was reported to them.

They added the video showed no criminal offences taking place as "the teens left peacefully of their own accord."

The fad of filming bizarre stunts in order to achieve internet fame is becoming increasingly common among young people.

A YouTube prank in July saw a teenager throw himself off Tower Bridge, in an act later described by the RNLI as "extremely dangerous".

Lifeboat rescuers pumped the water out of Shah Faisal Shinwari's lungs and stomach and he was taken to hospital after he dragged himself out of the Thames.

Meanwhile a group of “deplorable” internet pranksters, who staged a fake robbery at two London art galleries before posting footage of the stunt on YouTube, were jailed in May.

The group, called Trollstation, have won a huge online following for a series of controversial stunts around London, and were slammed by police for their actions at a time of heightened tensions over possible terror attacks.
