A leap of death, with Harry Styles and co in tow

Derren Brown might have (according to one theory) helped Sherlock miraculously survive his seeming leap of death but it’s his fellow illusionist Steven Frayne who’s actually dared to pull a similar stunt.

Frayne, best known as Dynamo, has levitated alongside a double-decker bus and “walked” on the Thames, while last night’s preview screening of the latest series of Dynamo: Magician Impossible showed the Bradford native fall from a rooftop, crash to the ground and walk away without a scratch.

The series also includes cameos from Coldplay and One Direction — “When I first met them 1D scallywags I didn’t have a clue who they were,” laughed Frayne, who was on stage at the Ham Yard Hotel after the screening.

“We’re just pawns in Dynamo’s games,” said a stunned Chris Martin on screen. “He’s probably been writing our songs for years.”
