Have US stars outgrown our talent? The Londoner was at the Apple store yesterday for a talk by actor Jamie Blackley, who stars with America’s Chloë Moretz in new movie If I Stay. Blackley, 23, despaired that Moretz, at 17, has already starred in more than 30 films.

Earlier we’d been at the BFI’s Stephen Street Kitchen, where newcomer Muna Otaru told us about The Keeping Room, a new film with Oscar-nominated American teenager Hailee Steinfeld. “She’s very professional,” she said. “She’s the oldest 16-year-old I’ve met.” Gawping at our relative immaturity, we were relieved when Otaru reminded us that Aussie Sam Worthington is also in the film. “He did bring out the teenager in the rest of us.” Phew.
