The search is finally over. London’s most refined mothers and nannies were reduced to breathless idolatry yesterday when they found David Beckham waiting alongside them at the school gates to pick up his son.
The former England football captain, who has recently moved back to England with his family, was seen escorting his boy into a black Land Rover after his first day at school.
Out of respect for the Beckhams’ privacy, the Londoner has decided not to divulge the name of the prep school. We only hope that the school-gate mamas will be able to contain their excitement if this is to become a regular occurrence.
