Dinos the dolls’ house builder

Artist Dinos Chapman and his wife, knitwear designer Tiphaine de Lussy, joined DJ Princess Julia and Pixie Geldof last night at the Jonathan Saunders/Fantastic Man dinner at the Selfridges Old Hotel.

The co- creator with his brother Jake of the miniature Nazis and mutants Fucking Hell sculpture revealed that he has a more touching side to his work — he is also a dolls’ house maker.

“I made toy castles and council houses for my daughters when they were small,” he told me. “I once spent a week before Christmas making them as presents but the council houses were only two-up-two-downs and the girls weren’t very impressed.”
