Lucy Kirkwood won the Susan Smith Blackburn Prize for women’s playwriting last night for Chimerica, at Mayfair’s Dartmouth House. There were also readings from fellow finalists, including Phoebe Waller-Bridge, who did a monologue from her play, Fleabag. “It was a sort of Tracey Emin’s bed on steroids,” said our pal at the event. Sounds promising.
