Games gave Rosario her Trance chance

The unlikely romance between Danny Boyle and Rosario Dawson may now be over but the actress has no regrets about working with the director.

Trance, a thriller exploring hypnotherapy, was set to feature a British female lead among a cast of Americans but Boyle reversed the roles when his work on the Olympic Opening Ceremony beckoned him home.

“I just felt really lucky because I wouldn’t have been part of it if it hadn’t switched,” Dawson said, having reportedly won the role from Skyfall actress Naomie Harris before heading to London for production.

“It would have been great to work with Danny in New York but I wouldn’t have had the chance if the film hadn’t taken this turn.”
