After a storming World Cup semi-final party on Tuesday — they ran out of sausages — the German embassy is rolling in the barrels again and has asked if The Londoner would like to come along for etwas zu trinken on Sunday. The Argentinians seem less prepared for scenes of jubilation. When we asked of their embassy’s plans we were told that nothing had been arranged, and suggested Argentinian pub Moo in Pimlico as a viewing venue. We’re now backing Germany.
