Trust an Italian to appreciate women. Alain Giorgio Maria Economides, Italian ambassador to London, threw open the doors of his private residence last night for the Women for Women International fundraiser, with a fashion show and auction organised by Browns boutique.

Jade Parfitt graced the catwalk and model Edie Campbell came along to cheer on her younger sister, budding model Olympia, who also took part in the show.

One of the guests was already familiar with the Mayfair mansion. “This is like my second home,” Nancy Dell’Olio told me. “I’m close to the ambassador. We’ve had many, many parties here. The house is spectacular, I feel like I’m in a museum every time. But I mostly come here for the chef, he prepares an amazing dinner.”
