Has JK Rowling reached her tipping point? The celebrated British-born, US resident author and New Yorker scribe Malcolm Gladwell, known for spotting social trends, confesses that he couldn’t fathom Rowling’s novel penned under the pseudonym Robert Galbraith. “I feel terrible for saying this,” he tells the New York Times. “but I started reading The Cuckoo’s Calling before I knew it was by Rowling, and I couldn’t finish it. Is there something wrong with me?” No, but there may well be should he bump into the notoriously sensitive Rowling.
