Kate Moss vs Dennis the Menace: it's an odd sort of competition

The rise of Cara Delevingne might be giving Kate Moss cause for concern but the supermodel may have a less likely form of competition: Dennis the Menace.

Moss features on a 2001 Vogue cover on the Professional Publishers Association’s shortlist of the 10 best covers of the century, unveiled at a party at Millbank Tower last night to celebrate its centenary. PPA board member Nicholas Coleridge said he expects the public vote to settle on Kate or a 1999 edition of The Beano but PPA CEO Barry McIlheney, formerly editor of Smash Hits and Empire, felt less compelled to share his choices.

“It’s like asking me to name my favourite children,” he said.
