Ken Livingstone joins war of think-tanks

Thanks to the crusading efforts of Tory MP Charlie Elphicke, Leftie think-tank IPPR has been having a rough time of it lately, with allegations of political bias flying thick and fast.

Not to be outdone, Labour figures have centre-Right thinkers Policy Exchange in their sights. Leading the charge is Ken Livingstone, in his own unique style. “It’s outrageous that an organisation such as Policy Exchange can get charitable status,” says the former Mayor. “It’s about as charitable as the Hitler Youth.”

Far be it for the Londoner to dish out advice to Livingstone but, given certain past controversies, it is perhaps unwise for him to be quite so free-and-easy with the Nazi comparisons.
