After performing Candle in the Wind at the funeral of Diana, Princess of Wales, Elton John swore never to sing the song again. Last night, however, he made an exception.
Elton, pictured with Lady Gaga, Donatella Versace and his partner David Furnish, hosted his annual Aids Foundation Oscar party at The City of West Hollywood Park. He took to the stage to sing the bestselling tribute with Ed Sheeran, who has covered the song for a limited edition vinyl of covers of Elton’s hits.
