Lord Ahmed refuses to release records of Stephen Ward trial

Yesterday Lord Dubs asked the Government to release the full transcripts of the Stephen Ward trial, only to be denied by business minister Lord Ahmed.

Lord Lloyd-Webber, whose new musical is on the Profumo scandal in which Ward was involved, was “disappointed” by the decision. However, “I was delighted to hear Lord Ahmed referring to my musical as being well worth going to see!” he says, grasping at the compliment.
