Mark Damazer's dim view of Hacked Off

Culture Secretary Maria Miller is not the only one to take a dim view of Hacked Off (yesterday she called Hugh Grant’s outfit “a destructive force in our society in the perception of the press”). Former BBC Radio 4 controller Mark Damazer is also critical of the group, which pushed for state controls of the press. The latest Standpoint magazine reports that Damazer, now head of an Oxford college, compares Hacked Off to the worst sort of Ulster Unionist who were so set on complete victory that they could not realise how unpleasant they made themselves look.
