Nothing too saucy unveiled in Sir Mike Jackson's hacked emails

When former US general David Petraeus’s emails were compromised in 2012 it led to the unearthing of a steamy affair with his biographer, Paula Broadwell. General Sir Mike Jackson, former leader of the British army, has also seen his emails hacked — though the results are less saucy.

Everyone in his address book awoke yesterday to find an iffy-looking plea for money following a trip to Ukraine gone sour. “We’ve been mugged,” the email reads, followed by pleas for money. Surely hackers would know an officer as decorated as Sir Mike could have fended off a few Kiev street thugs?
