Role models, lookalikes and royal no-nos

Is reality star Kim Kardashian in London? Nope, but Monica Lewinsky is. Bill Clinton’s former paramour was at a party at the Royal Hospital Chelsea last night. Monica said to her friend: “I’ve just been told I look like Kim Kardashian, that was a lovely compliment, what do you think?”

Lewinsky, who was at the Masterpiece Marie Curie charity party hosted by her friend Heather Kerzner, wouldn’t talk Kardashian to The Londoner but still knows a strong woman when she sees one. “Marie Curie was the first female role model that I learned about when I was growing up,” she told us, “so this is very close to my heart.”

Also at the party was Yasmin Le Bon, back from Glastonbury where she saw Jerry Hall’s show. “It was special,” she said. “Really, though, she always was in the band.” The seventh Rolling Stone, then?

There too was Princess Beatrice, whose grandmother was ambushed recently by a selfie-hunter in Belfast. Beatrice says she won’t get snapped: she is not allowed to have a picture taken with camera phones. Is this a royal ruling following Prince Harry’s Vegas high jinks?
