Labour MP for Walthamstow Stella Creasy, pictured, needs a hot date for Saturday’s X Factor final. “I’ve been offered tickets for the live final in Manchester,” she writes in her newsletter. “This is your chance to nominate a Walthamstow resident who deserves a treat to join me as my plus one at the X Factor Final.”
Hotel accommodation is provided for the winner, who will be nominated with “a short statement on why this person represents Walthamstow’s X factor”. Stella adds: “To make sure you can vote please ensure you have ‘liked’ my Facebook page!” The MP, who has written sleevenotes for an album by indie guitar band The Wedding Present, may not be taking Saturday’s final seriously. “Have they released yet what the #x-factor single will be? *crosses fingers that THIS year it will finally be the birdy song*,” she tweeted.
