Sarah Ferguson has taken a big leap into the world of YouTube, where the 60 year old has launched a new storytelling series for children.

Called ‘Storytime with Fergie and Friends’, she revealed she intends to read children’s books to “get a bit of magic going” and kicked off with a reading of the classic Hairy McClary by Lynley Dodd.

She posted two new videos to her channel yesterday, which currently has 402 subscribers at the time of publication.

She also cross-posted the videos to her Facebook page. Her first was titled ‘Excited to join YouTube with Storytime with Fergie and Friends’ and in it, she revealed she was self-isolating with her children Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice.

It is unclear if Prince Andrew is with them, however it was revealed that Ferguson and her daughters are staying at the Royal Lodge during this time - Prince Andrew's official residence.

She said, “I’m in my favourite place ever, ever, ever, because I’m with the children and thinking of children and thinking of all the children out there who need a little bit of magic - and you’re not alone.”

“Every day I’m going to do Storytime with Fergie and Friends - not just Fergie - you’ll have to wait and see. It’s going to be very exciting and don’t worry, they’re not very long books (or they could be long books). But let’s get a bit of magic going here, shall we?” she said.

She also revealed in a longer Instagram post that she would be reading “a traditional children’s storytime” every weekday with “a longer storytime on Saturdays” at 4pm and that she would be “asking friends to join in.”

She added, “I so hope you enjoy them and they give some of you something new to do during this difficult time for everyone.”

Ferguson’s storytelling series also included the use of a number of props and in her first video, she showed off a singing stuffed toy unicorn.

Her second video - a reading of the Lynley Dodd book Hairy MacClary - was also posted yesterday, and in the video she unveiled a kooky teapot which was themed after Alice in Wonderland.

It also became apparent that she had a cameraman or woman, as at one point the camera zoomed in on the teapot in question.

Throughout her animated reading, she ad-libbed a little and after finishing, she announced she would be reading the day after at 4pm and said, “See you tomorrow.”
