An elderly woman is in hospital after a serious collision involving a luxury car in north-west London.

The smash happened in busy Station Road, Hendon, at about 10.45am on Monday.

Police said two cars had collided. A witness said one was a Lexus 4x4.

Station Road was still shut four hours after the crash between the Watford Way junction and the Edgeworth Avenue junction, but reopened at about 3pm.

Motorist Ricky Tang said: “Traffic in the area is still very bad as Station Road is closed to traffic from the A41.”
