Metropolitan line delays: Woman struck by Tube train at Wembley Park station

A woman has been struck by a train at Wembley Park Tube station.

British Transport Police were called to the north London stop shortly after 3pm on Wednesday to reports a person was hit by a train.

Police said the woman was being treated at scene for injuries believed to be minor.

A BTP spokesperson said: "Our officers at currently at Wembley Park station after reports a person was struck by a southbound Metropolitan Line train.

"Officers are being supported by paramedics from the London Ambulance Service and a woman is being treated at the scene for injuries believed to be minor.

"This incident is not being treated as suspicious."

The Metropolitan line has been suspended southbound between Harrow on the Hill and Aldgate while emergency services investigate.

The service has been hit by “severe delays”.

Passengers at the scene said Wembley Park had been evacuated over the incident.
