Two Tube maps have been designed to help commuters avoid London’s major stations when they are at their busiest.
The maps show at which times the platforms at the likes of King’s Cross, Victoria, Waterloo, Euston and Oxford Circus are at their most crammed.
They helpfully indicate during which 15 to 45 minute period the capital’s most popular Zone 1 and Zone 2 stations have the most passengers passing through.
Unsurprisingly, in the mornings the stations are at their busiest between 7.45am and 8.45am.
King's Cross, Victoria and Waterloo are at their worst during the 15 minutes between 8.30am and 8.45am, while Earl's Court and Brixton hit their peak from 8.15am.
Clapham Common is at its most rammed even earlier, from 7.45am to 8am.
Another map, tweeted previously by Tfl, showed that in the evenings stations are most packed from 5.30pm until 6.30pm.
Journalist Oliver Jones, 22, who regularly commutes into central London at about 8am, told the Standard: “The platform at Victoria on the Victoria line is often jam packed. I see people trying to squeeze onto my train.
“There’s always pinch points near the entrances. People need to move down the platform.”
He said he felt “very sorry” for people who get on at Clapham Common, a station that also features on the morning map.
He said: “I don’t get on at Clapham Common but I feel very sorry for people who do.
“Often no one new gets on on my carriage at Clapham Common at that time.”
However he described the map as “a waste of time”, adding TfL should be focusing on “sorting the problem out.”
He said: “Get better trains and better movement flows.
“People can’t change when they travel if they have to get to work for a certain time.”
