Torrential rain falls on London to Brighton Veteran Car Run

Up to 500 veteran cars travelled to the Sussex coast yesterday for the London to Brighton Veteran Car Run.

The pre-1905 vehicles battled torrential rain as they set off from Hyde Park to drive along the A23 before finishing on the Brighton seafront.

The Royal Automobile Club, which stages the event, said it was the world's oldest motoring event.
