Steam back on the Metropolitan Line

Saturday 25 to Monday 27 May
9 January 2014

Experience the golden age of steam over the May spring bank holiday weekend when three steam locomotives, including the newly restored Metropolitan Steam Locomotive No. 1, will be running between Amersham and Harrow-on-the-Hill.

Customers can travel in either the recently restored ex Metropolitan Jubilee Coach, dating back to the 1890s or ex British Rail 1950s coaches.

And don’t forget to visit the pop-up Metroland exhibition at 63 Hill Avenue, approximately 100 metres from Amersham station, which has been organised by the Amersham Museum. Entry to the exhibition is free and it is open from 10.00 until 16.00.

Tickets for the heritage train runs will go on sale on Wednesday 3 April and are priced between £15 and £45.
