The neighbour of a woman who left an expletive-laden angry note on an ambulance has criticised the punishment given to her, saying: "she got off again."

Brian Heath dialled 999 for his wife Christine when she had trouble breathing. She is still in hospital with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.

Kirsty Sharman, 26, was fined £120 with a victim surcharge of £30 and costs of £135 after appearing at North Staffordshire Justice Centre on Tuesday where her tirade was branded "despicable".

Her note read: "If this van is for anyone but No.14 then you have no right to park here.

"I couldn't give a s**t if the whole street collapses. Now move your van from outside my house."

Paramedic Katie Tudor tweeted the image

The court heard that she also went into the street and abused a male paramedic, telling him: "Move your f****** van."

Mr Heath said he and his wife are at their "wit's end" and have kept a log of incidents since Sharman became their neighbour in September 2016.

He said: "I call her Teflon because nothing sticks. This has been going on for more than 15 months. I am shocked she has got off again."

Police charged Sharman with a Section 5 public order offence after a picture of her note was shared on Twitter by the West Midlands Ambulance Service.

Sharman issued her "sincerest apologies" to ambulance workers in Tuesday's court hearing after the the note sparked a nationwide backlash.

She pleaded guilty to the public order offence, and a charge for breaching a restraining order was withdrawn.

Sentencing, the chairman of the magistrates Christopher Rushton told her: "This was an absolutely despicable incident.

"The fact it was directed at an ambulance crew providing a public service to a sick person. That crew should not be subject to actions such as these."
