Piers Morgan is set to appear on Question Time tonight after this week securing an interview with US president Donald Trump.

The controversial Good Morning Britain host will appear on tonight's panel alongside Nicky Morgan MP, Anneliese Dodds MP, SNP's Drew Henry and Daily Mirror editor Alison Phillips.

Fiona Bruce will once again chair the show, which will be broadcast from Thetford, Norfolk at 10.35pm on Thursday evening.

Here's all you need to know about Thursday's Question Time panel.

A man who needs no introduction, Piers Morgan will appear on the panel shortly after his exclusive interview with Mr Trump.

So it's fairly certain to expect that the interview, and president's state visit, will likely be on the agenda - especially after he criticised people planning to protest the trip.

The Tory has been MP for Loughborough since 2010 and Chair of the Treasury Select Committee since 2017, Nicky Morgan has served in a number of positions across the Commons.

An ex-education secretary - who is backing Michael Gove in the Tory leadership contest - and former lawyer, Ms Morgan is a vocal centrist and Remain backer, but perhaps is most well known for a spat over Theresa May's £995 trousers in 2016.

Anneliese Dodds

Elected Labour MP for Oxford East in 2017, Anneliese Dodds was appointed Shadow Treasury Minister by Jeremy Corbyn in 2017.

The ex-university lecturer was also an MEP for South East England from 2014 to 2017, and recently demanded her party commit to a second referendum in a public letter to the National Executive Committee.

Drew Hendry

An SNP politician who has been MP for Inverness, Nairn, Badenoch and Strathspey, Mr Hendry is a second referendum-supporter who recently announced that Scotland must choose between "Britain and Brexit" or "Scotland and Europe".

The former council leader is his party's business spokesman and chair of Westminster's all-party parliamentary group for the terminally ill, and has Scotland's best fish and chips in his constituency - McLeod’s Fish and Chips in Inverness.

Alison Phillips

Editor of the Daily Mirror since 2018, and columnist at the same paper, Alison Philips is staunchly anti-Brexit and has appeared on a number of TV shows before, including Question Time.

She's also a former editor of the short-lived paper The New Day and had previously worked for the Sunday People, Woman and the Brighton Argus.
