Boris Johnson admits he has six children and he ‘changes lots of nappies’

Boris Johnson told millions of US TV viewers how he “changes a lot of nappies” as he faced a series of questions over his children.

Appearing on NBC News/Today, the Prime Minister was asked five questions about being a father.

Mr Johnson is expecting his second child with his third wife Carrie and has at least five other children.

Presenter Savannah Guthrie asked: “Since you became Prime Minister, you became a father again?”

The PM responded: “Yes.”

Ms Guthrie continued: “You have a new baby. You’re expecting another baby?”

Mr Johnson replied: “I know, I know.”

Ms Guthrie probed further: “You have six kids?”

The Prime Minister, who is reluctant to talk about his family, responded: “Yes.”

Sticking on the subject, Ms Guthrie questioned: “What is it like to have little babies in?”

Giving a more fulsome response, Mr Johnson replied: “It’s fantastic. It’s fantastic.

“Well, you know, it’s a lot of work. It’s a lot of work, I’ll tell you that much. But I love it. I absolutely love it. I change a lot of nappies.”

Seemingly surprised, Ms Guthrie said: “Do you really?”

The Prime Minister was clear: “I do. I do.”
