A gang suspected of causing chaos after hijacking protests against Government spending cuts may have been unmasked after CCTV footage showed a group swapping dark clothing for brighter colours.
Detectives have released new images of some of the men and women they believe caused trouble in London's West End following the peaceful TUC march.
Members thought to be part of one of several groups who dressed in black and covered their faces to avoid identification were filmed on CCTV changing into more colourful attire in an alleged bid to disappear into the crowds.
Detective Chief Superintendent Matthew Horne, leading the investigation, said: "The video footage and related photographs released today clearly show the lengths that individuals will go to in order to hide their identities.
"They are sought in connection with conspiring with others to cause criminal damage."
More than 140 people were charged in the aftermath of offences in the capital on March 26.
Officers have sifted through CCTV and images recorded during attacks launched on police and property in London's busiest shopping district.
Fifty-six police officers were injured during the attacks - 11 needing hospital treatment.
Home Secretary Theresa May has raised the prospect of new powers to ban known hooligans from attending rallies and marches and forcing people to remove face-scarves and balaclavas.
