Erith: Three injured as '10 thugs' assault men in brawl outside pub

Three men were injured after being assaulted by a group of up to 10 thugs in a brawl outside a pub in south-east London.

Police said the victim, 18, and two other men of the same age who tried to help him, were injured in the attack in the early hours of Sunday.

The first man is believed to have been set upon after a row erupted outside The Ship pub in West Street, Erith.

Police said the argument "quickly escalated" and the victim was attacked by a group of up to 10 male and female suspects.

The two other victims were injured trying to help the first victim, who was left needing hospital treatment.

Police today appealed for information about the attack just after midnight on Sunday, after which the group of suspects ran off towards Saint Fidelis Road.

Police said there were no arrests and enquiries were ongoing.
