Steve Hayes: Former Wasps owner hack charges dropped 43 months after arrest

Charges have been dropped against the former boss of Wasps rugby club

A businessman today threatened to sue Scotland Yard and the CPS after computer hacking allegations against him were dropped 43 months after his arrest.

Steve Hayes, the former owner of Wasps rugby club, said his arrest in 2012 cost him £10 million as it coincided with attempts to sell Wasps and Wycombe Wanderers FC and affected the price.

He is one of 15 people told they would not face charges as a result of Operation Tuleta.
