Gary Neville has erupted in fury in a Twitter rant after being bumped off a British Airways flight.
The former Manchester United defender turned Sky Sports pundit was denied boarding on a Manchester to London Heathrow domestic flight.
He wrote: ".@British_Airways you are an absolute disgrace !! Overbooking flights and not getting people on .... worst airline I’ve ever seen!"
British Airways replied: "Hi Gary, we're concerned to hear this. Could you DM us with some more information? We'll certainly see if there is anything we can do."
But the furious 42-year-old wrote: "Their is one thing you can do [sic]. Can you stop this ridiculous practice ?On our way to get the train and see if we can make our connect ."
He slammed the airline as a "shambles" and said he did not normally fly BA but had to on this occasion.
Neville then added that he had got to Heathrow airport by taking a Manchester Piccadilly to London Euston train, meaning he caught his connecting flight with half an hour to spare.
British Airways said: "Due to difficult weather conditions at Manchester this morning one of our flights was cancelled.
"This meant a small number of customers for the next flight were put on standby for a short time while we double checked that there were enough seats for everyone.
"We asked these customers if they could wait 15 minutes while we made these checks.
"Everyone who waited was able to travel on the flight, but we've been in touch with Gary to apologise."
Neville was in Burnley this weekend for the Premier League match at Turf Moor between Burnley and Manchester City.
On Saturday he hit out at Man City coach Pep Guardiola's decision to name just six substitutes, calling it a "joke".
