Georgia Toffolo has admitted she has grown sick of her “disastrous” lockdown cooking - and is now hoping to rectify it by taking an online culinary course.

The 26-year-old former Made in Chelsea star said she was “mortified” her skills in the kitchen had not developed in the past 12 months despite spending so much time at home - and so was beginning an online course at Leiths next week.

The star, known as “Toff,” said: “[My cooking] has been a disaster. Mortifying. So you know Leiths? I have signed up for a beginners online cooking course - it starts next week. It is for total beginners, so you learn the basics. But I would love to be able to cook well, do something like beef wellington.”

Toff continued: “Maybe I could then go on MasterChef next year - that would be fun wouldn’t it?”

Leiths School of Food and Wine is an award-winning cookery school founded by Great British Bake Off judge Prue Leith.

Toff, who lives in west London, struck up an unlikely friendship with Boris Johnson’s father Stanley, 80, during her time on I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here! The television star said she was “thrilled” he’d had his Covid-19 vaccine.

“I am just thrilled he has had his vaccine,” she said. “I forget he’s not my age. I am lucky that he is pretty good with technology and we can FaceTime, otherwise it would have been a long time since I last saw him.”

Toff, who is originally from Torquay in Devon, said she had been struggling this lockdown - and was trying to remain positive while getting through the days with the company of her dog, Monty.

She said: “During the weeks I am busy with work and I have been keeping myself busy but at the weekends it is just me and my dog which is fine and it's nice but… I am a social creature. I am very fortunate to have a roof over my head and be working. And I just keep thinking - the light is at the end of the tunnel. I keep focusing on little pleasures.”

About Monty, she continued: “Me and the dog, we just kind of mooch around together. He makes me laugh so much. I bought him on a whim and I have never been much of a dog person but thank god I did - he has kept me going this lockdown. But it is full on.”

Toff was speaking about her partnership with The Deli Kitchen Brioche Style Wrap. She also took part in a rap battle with great British Bake Off star, Selasi Gbormittah and Wretch 32 for the brand.

About the partnership, she said: “I am not much of a rapper. But it was such fun. Lunch is a real highlight of my day at the moment. They are amazing wraps and really tasty, so easy to do. I am a terrible cook so they are really simple if I fancy something healthy or a bit naughty.”
